Take an adventurous girl from Texas, fill her with romantic notions, whisk her off to Vegas for a decade of excitement, then return her to the comforts of home, and you've got the makings of a photographer with a flair for documenting both the drama and the passions of the heart.
Jamye's ability to capture heartfelt emotions, nervous glances, and timeless beauty is what makes her images become unique family heirlooms.
"I started my career shooting models, actors and musicians in Las Vegas but find that I prefer capturing the reality of emotions and drama that comes with real life events and people. Being a witness to and documenting the outward expression of powerful emotions on a day such as a wedding is truly a joyful thing", she says.
Jamye's work has been featured in The Bridal Spectacular Magazine, Las Vegas Magazine, Las Vegas Review Journal and Las Vegas City Life. She has taught seminars on digital photography, editing, retouching and restoration techniques to hundreds of fellow professionals. She is a member of both WPPI and NAPP and serves her local community as a board member of the chamber of commerce.
When she is not shooting weddings or portraits Jamye enjoys spending time with her husband and 8 wild and crazy dachshunds, creating unique jewelry pieces, yoga/Pilates, reading and discovering new music.
